A Versatile Legal Professional with Corporate Counsel and Law Firm Experience

Vanessa is a qualified law practice professional with a post qualification experience of over 16 years. She has previously worked with leading law firms as well as prominent corporate organisations. Her practice areas include general corporate advisory, commercial contracting and employment law. She also acts as an external member in the internal complaint committee (“ICC”), constituted under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (“POSH Act”), of various client organizations.

Over the years, Vanessa has advised and represented various leading corporate organisations / multinational corporations and start-ups, in diverse business sectors such as Aviation, E-commerce, Financial Services, Food & Beverages, Human Resource, Infrastructure, Logistics, Media & Entertainment, Real Estate, Retail, etc. on a variety of corporate, contractual, regulatory and other legal issues.

Significant Experience in the Retail Sector

In the various professional engagements and assignments undertaken, Vanessa has closely worked with, supported and handheld various internal stakeholders of her client companies, which include senior management, business teams, HR department, finance department, etc. She has also been involved in conducting training programmes for the employees of different client organizations for sensitization and awareness about the requirements under the POSH Act.

Vanessa has completed a bachelor’s (honours) degree in Sociology from the Delhi University in 2005 and thereafter, an LLB from the Faculty of Law, Delhi University in 2008. More recently, in 2022, she has also completed a Certification Programme on Public Policy, Data and Behaviour Change from the Indian School of Public Policy, and a Diploma in Cyber Laws from the Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Prior to her association with the Firm, Vanessa has held positions with TCS e-Seve Limited (formerly Citigroup Global Services Limited), Dentons Link Legal and FabIndia Overseas Private Limited.
