Corporate Lawyer
Pritam is an India qualified corporate lawyer with a post qualification experience of over 19 years, of which he spent about 11.5 years in two of India’s leading and largest law firms, and close to an year, as an in-house counsel, in one of the leading aviation infrastructure companies. He also acts an external (industry) coach for the learners of masters in law program conducted by one of South Asia’s largest EdTech companies. His practice areas include mergers and acquisitions (‘M&A’), general corporate advisory (‘Advisory’), banking and finance (‘Financing’), aviation, commercial contracting, employment law, immigration and dispute resolution.
Over the years, Pritam has actively advised and represented several of world’s leading multinational corporations (‘MNC’s’) on their businesses and investments in India, which cut across sectors such as Aviation, Automotive, Defence, Education, Financial Services, Financial Technology, Food & Beverages, Human Resource, Insurance, IT/ITES, Logistics, Media & Entertainment, Pharmaceutical, Real Estate, etc. Pritam has also advised clients having businesses / business interests in overseas jurisdictions (such as Singapore, Thailand, UAE and Saudi Arabia), on legal and regulatory issues emanating from the domestic laws of such jurisdictions, in collaboration with local counsels / law firms in such jurisdictions.
In the various professional engagements and assignments undertaken, Pritam has closely worked with, supported and handheld various internal stakeholders of his client companies, which include senior management, business teams, HR department, finance department, etc, (who were based in jurisdictions such as US, UK, Belgium, Japan, Singapore, Russia, France and India).Pritam is known for his holistic and comprehensive approach (employing extensive research and due diligence) while analyzing any subject matter of law and has been recognized by clients for his articulation and style of presenting written opinions.
Pritam has completed a five (5) years integrated program in law from the erstwhile Symbiosis Society’s Law College (now renamed as Symbiosis Law School), Pune and has received the degrees of Bachelor of Social Legal Sciences (BSL) and LLB from the erstwhile University of Pune (now renamed as Savitribai Phule Pune University). He is admitted to the Bar Council of Delhi in 2005.Pritam has previously held positions with Kochhar & Co. (New Delhi), Fox Mandal & Associates (Hyderabad), Tatva Legal Hyderabad and GMR Airports Limited (New Delhi).
